SHOW SPOTLIGHT:

A TRIBUTE TO
FRANK, SAMMY, JOEY, & DEAN

One of the most entertaining shows we’ve seen in a long time, “The Tribute to Frank, Sammy, Joey & Dean” is an absolute delight! The infamous Rat Pack comes back nightly at 7 PM (dark Fridays) at the Greek Isles Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, NV. With a mix of comical antics and exceptional singing performances, this tribute really creates a feeling that you’ve stepped back into a vintage era in Las Vegas. The show is performed in the Star Theatre, which was recently restored and outfitted with state of the art light and sound equipment. It is one of the few true “old-Vegas” showrooms remaining, with an intimacy not found at the huge venues on the Strip. The stars are Sandy Hackett as Joey Bishop, Pete Willcox as Dean Martin, Luis Velez as Sammy Davis Jr. and Henry Prego as the “Chairman of the Board” Frank Sinatra. Marilyn Monroe, played by Stacy Nicole, is an added bonus. The show is produced by Hackett & Dick Feeney. Directed by Billy Karl. Highly recommended!

Switzerland has undoubtedly become a lot more exciting thanks to the opening of the world’s most unique theme park, the “Mystery Park”, located in beautiful Interlaken. Did you know that, since its opening in May of last year, already some 350,000 visitors flocked to this one-of-a-kind park, initiated by Erich von Daeniken, the best-selling Swiss author of “Chariots of the Gods” and many other books.

Spread across an area of almost one million square feet, “Mystery Park” gives the public close encounters with many unsolved mysteries, thanks to the latest in multimedia technology used in presentations and films shown on large screens. Arranged in a star shape around a central tower, there are seven theme pavilions representing true replicas of pyramids, temples and relics dedicated to some of the world’s most famous unsolved mysteries such as Stonehenge, the flying vehicles, or “Vimanas”, described in old Indian literature, the Pyramids of Giza and the runway-like lines stretching for miles of Nazca in the Peruvian desert.

An innovative information system allows each visitor to hear information on the mysteries in his or her own language. Shows and attractions are available in five languages, English being one of them.

The “Mystery Park, which is open all-year round, includes various restaurant and picnic zones, great souvenir shops, a “Msytery Club” for small kids with professional supervision and various areas which can be rented for meetings, incentives and conventions. The admission is approx. $35 for adults, $22 for children 6 – 13, free for kids under six.
